Hi!!! :D I make music sometimes. I want to make more music, but I find myself crippled with uhhh inhibition and distractions. Did I spell inhibition right?
I play a six-string bass that I bought in my sophomore year of college. I absolutely love it, though it is kind of falling apart. I make all of my music with open source tools (well, kind of, I recently switched from Ardour to Harrison Mixbus, but that's the same thing darn it!). I use open source plugins and yaddah yaddah. Recently, I setup a recording studio in my basement with my roommates, and I'm hoping to make more music down there.
I made my artist name Degauze--a combination of the prefix "De" meaning roughly "to undo" and "Gauze," like the surgical fabric you apply to wounds. Put together, the word means exposing the wound that was previously covered up.
This is my most recent song, made with my roommate!
This is my first (and maybe best?) song.
A song about an upsetting high school relationship!
I honestly forget what this song is about... I think it was also written about the aforementioned high school ex?
When I first started trying to make music, I really wanted to make shoegaze. I don't think I ever succeeded, but this was my closest attempt.
Ah, a song from most recent breakup! I thought that sadness would produce better or, at the very least, more music, but I discovered that sadness actually only makes you sad.
